How do Polar Ice Foot and Ankle Ice Pack Therapy Work?

  • Foot and ankle cold packs are specially designed to relieve the pain and swelling in the foot and ankle.
  • Cold therapy has been used for ages to treat swelling and pain.
  • These packs provide deep penetrating therapy to the injured joints, ligaments, and muscles and relieve the pain.
  • The ice narrows the blood vessels and slows blood flow to the area, so you can start healing.
  • Cold therapy allows for a faster return to normal function.
  • It is mainly useful in managing post-operative foot and ankle swelling and pain during rehabilitation and following physical activity.
  • They are even used for most commonfoot injuries like sprains, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis , etc., to provide firm compression and maximum coverage while relieving pain and inflammation.
  • Mild ankle sprains can often be treated at home with conventional methods, and applying ice is one of them.
  • Ice packs will help minimize swelling around the injury, thus controlling the pain.
  • The cold wraps are designed to fit the unique shape of your foot and ankle.
  • They surround the whole foot and ankle, giving maximum benefit.
  • Cold packs are generally filled with a gel-like substance that cools down at a fast rate and remains cool for a long period of time.
  • These packs are reusable a number of times, and they are not messy.
  • In order to prevent freezer burns or chapped skin, it is best to place a towel between the cold pack and the skin to reap the maximum results.
  • Take the cold pack off, and once skin re-warms, you can apply the pack.
  • These packs are easy to apply and are hustle-free. You should always be handy with some ice packs for your feet and ankle to provide instant relief and help you get back to your normal activities quickly and safely.
