Protective Masks

Protective Masks are a type of personal protective equipment that creates a physical barrier between the potential contaminants and the nose and mouth of the user. They help block large-particle droplets, sprays, splashes, or splatter that may contain germs, viruses, and bacteria and keep them from reaching the mouth and nose. They may also help reduce the exposure of the wearer's saliva and respiratory secretions to others. At Rehab store, we offer a wide range of infection control masks from top-selling brands like Medline Industries, 3M Medical, Dynarex, etc.

Points To Remember While Using Protective Masks

  • Protective face masks should not be shared.

  • They should be properly labeled as isolation, surgical, dental, or medical procedure masks.

  • Thickness may affect the breathability of the mask and the degree of protection it provides from the fluids.

  • While protective masks are effective in blocking the splashes and large-particle droplets that contain germs, they do not provide complete protection from the microscopic germs and contaminants because of the loose fit.

  • Replace your mask if it is soiled, damaged, or breathing through it becomes difficult.

  • Discard your mask safely and wash your hands after handling a used mask.
