Contraindications:

• Not for use over open wounds and infected areas.
• Not for immediate treatment following fractures.
• May not be for people with circulatory problems.
• Not for people who have an allergic reaction to neoprene or who have a tendency to develop dermatitis.
   

Precautions:

• If unusual swelling, skin discoloration or discomfort occurs, use should be discontinued and a healthcare professional consulted.
• Be careful that the protector is not so tight that it interferes with circulation.
   

Application:

• If protector has straps, open them.
• Put protector onto extremity, centering joint in contoured area or over padding.
   

Care and cleaning:

• If protector has hook-and-loop fasteners, close them before washing.
• Hand wash in warm water and mild soap.
• Rinse thoroughly.
• Do not wring.
• Dry at room temperature.
• Be sure the protector is completely dry before reapplying it.
