How to Use CTI Standard Knee Brace
- pen all the straps on the outside of the device.
- Bend your knee at a 90° angle with your foot flat on the floor.
- Put the device on your leg, making sure the CTi logo is on the outside. Center the patella between the Condyle Pads.
- Adjust the height of the device by aligning the center of the Hinge just above the middle of the patella.
- You can change the width of the device using different Condyle Pads and a shim. Adjust the fit around your tibia using the supplied wedge pads.
Fasten the straps in this order:
a. First, secure the Lower Cruciate Strap below the knee to help keep the device in place.
b. Then, snugly fasten the Bottom Strap through the D-Ring.
c. Continue with the Upper Cruciate Strap just above the knee.
d. Fasten the Top Strap, ensuring the hook tab doesn't overlap the elastic insert.
e. Finally, secure the Anterior Cruciate Strap.
- If the device moves too much forward, loosen the anterior tibial strap and tighten the lower and bottom straps. If it's too far back, loosen the lower and bottom straps and tighten the tibial control strap.
How to Remove this Device
- Sit down and bend your knee so that it forms an 80° angle, keeping your foot flat on the floor.
- Open all the straps at the back of the device, then connect each strap to itself. This makes it simpler to put on the device again and helps the straps last longer.
Care Instructions
- Wash the device by hand using a gentle soap, and make sure to rinse it well.
- Let it air dry naturally.
- Don't use a washing machine, dryer, iron, bleach, or fabric softener.
- If you use the device in saltwater or chlorinated water, rinse it with fresh water and let it air dry.
For the hinge:
- Clean it by removing any dirt or grass with fresh water.
- If necessary, use silicone spray or dry graphite to lubricate it.
