Bort TaloFX Ankle Brace supports injured tissue structures (joints, ligaments, capsules, cartilages) and allow at the same time functional training of uninjured structures. With the BORT TaloFX the ankle joint can very easily be stabilised and immobilised. It is a soft-brace made of elastic material that carries away moisture. Bilateral shells padded with soft memory foam ensure a comfortable fit and optimum stability.

  • Instructions for putting-on:
    Step 1 Open the 3 fastening straps and loosen these. Slip the brace over the point of the foot and put it on like a sock.
    Step 2 Now close the circular strap at the lower leg. Watch out that the brace will not be twisted at foot and lower leg.
    Step 3 Now close the yellow marked stabilising strap. For that lead the strap from the outside diagonally across the metatarsus through the free flap at the inner knuckle to the rear towards the reversing loop provided at the outside. There close the strap loosely.
    Step 4 Now close the orange marked stabilising strap. For that lead the strap from the inner side diagonally across the metatarsus towards the reversing loop and there close it loosely. Now tighten the closed strap of step 3 and afterwards the finally closed strap
    Step 5 It may well be that the straps have to be re-tightened after some minutes.
  • Contraindications:
    - Peripheral arterial occlusive disease (PAOD), lymphatic drainage disorders and indistinct soft tissue swellings remote from the applied aid, sensory loss and blood flow disorders in the affected body part, skin disorders in the treated part of the body.

    - No reutilisation this medical device is meant for the care of one patient only.
    - In case of doctors order to wear brace during night, avoid hindering blood circulation.
    - In case of numbness loosen brace and remove if necessary.
