More Information

  • Contraindications:
    - Peripheral arterial occlusive disease (PAOD)
    - Lymphatic drainage disorders and indistinct soft tissue swellings remote from the applied aid
    - Sensory loss and blood flow disorders in the affected body part, skin disorders in the treated part of the body
  • Directions for Use:
    - The two sides of the orthosis can be pulled towards each other by loosening the Velcro strip in the median tapered part. The grip can thus be adjusted individually, without fixed measurements, between 21 cm and 35 cm. Make sure that the two elongated sides of the grip overlap as much as possible in the upper and lower parts of the forearm when worn
    - The pad can be freely adjusted thanks to the Velcro fastener. For correct positioning follow the indications printed on the band
    - The narrowest part of the pad should point towards the elbow. Thread the Velcro strip through the plastic loop and then apply the grip to the forearm. The pad should apply pressure on the belly of the muscle between the hand and elbow
    - The belly of the muscle can be clearly identified by making a fist. The BORTEpiContur grip must only apply pressure on this muscle when making a fist or a gripping movement
    -  If the hand is in a relaxed position, the grip must adhere without any noticeable pressure of the pad. Fasten the Velcro so that the grip offers support but does not create stasis
