The Liberty Leather Long Thumb Spica helps your hand and wrist when they're hurt. It keeps things stable and lowers pain. You can use it for not-so-serious bone injuries until you see a bone doctor. If you have a broken bone poking out, you can use it for that too. Sometimes, your hand might swell more after getting hurt, so there's a metal piece you can take out or adjust as needed. You can pick if you need it for the right or left hand and choose the right size.

Why choose Liberty CMC Thumb Splint?

  • Stiff fabric and metal reinforcing bar for firm support
  • Cotton lined and perforated for comfort
  • Convenient hook closure
  • Easy to put on with one hand

When to use Liberty Metal Thumb Splint?

Thumb Immobilizer Brace can be used to recover from the following thumb injuries:

  • Post-operative care
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Carpal Tunnel
  • Thumb Arthritis
  • Thumb Pain
  • Carpus Fractures

What are Thumb Splints?

  • A thumb brace serves several purposes.
  • Wearing a thumb brace helps immobilize the thumb if injured.
  • By immobilizing the thumb, give it a chance to heal.
  • A thumb brace can also provide additional support during activities to protect the thumb from being injured.

How to choose the correct CMC Thumb Orthosis?

  • Determine the level of immobilization required.
  • Select the amount of customization needed.
  • Choose the material desired: metal stay, thermoplastic, or aluminum core.

What are the 3 levels of Liberty Orthotics Control?

  • Light control:
    • It supports while still allowing motion and function.
    Moderate control:
    • It provides greater support and resistance to movement using materials with less stretch and stronger fabrics.
    • Ideal when a brace or splint is likely to be worn throughout the day during a variety of activities.
    • Choose moderate control when joints need to be protected, and muscles and ligaments rested but not fully immobilized.
    Firm Control:
    • It is designed to allow joints and tissues to rest and heal by limiting or stopping motion.
    • When full rest is required to help relieve pain from an injury or severe pain due to overuse or arthritis, choose braces and splints in the firm range.
    • Ideal following injury or surgery or when a condition has flared up, and the pain prevents function.
