What to Buy with Guardian Commode

How To Use a 3-in-1 Commode with Elongated Seat

  • Let the toilet seat and lid warm up to room temperature if they've been in the cold. This prevents them from cracking during assembly.
  • Put the toilet seat clamps on the back frame rail. They should be on the outside of the pail brackets. Push the seat down until the clamps snap onto the frame.
  • Do the same thing for the lid. Note: Some models don't come with a lid.
  • When you need to take off the seat or lid, always remove the lid first and then the seat. To take them off, hold the back of the lid and/or seat and lift them up.
  • To put it in the commode bucket, drop it into the bucket frame. When you need to empty or clean it, lift the bucket out of the frame.

CAUTIONS:

  • Always put the toilet seat down to avoid accidents.
  • Read the instructions before setting up the commode, and if you don't understand, ask for help.
  • Make sure the buttons on the legs click into place and stick out the same amount. This keeps the legs secure and the commode level.
  • Tighten all the screws, nuts, and bolts.
  • Look at the tips of the legs for damage or if any are missing. Replace damaged or missing tips.
  • Make sure all four legs touch the ground at the same time.
  • If someone is weak or has trouble moving, watch over them when they use the commode.
  • Don't let anyone over 350 lbs (about 159 kg) use the commode.
  • Only use the armrests for help; don't try to support your whole body with them.
  • Try to spread your weight evenly on the armrests.

How To Care Guardian Commode

  • Every now and then, check the commode for any parts that might be broken or coming loose. Make sure everything is tight and in place.
  • Make sure nothing is blocking it from working safely.
  • To keep it looking nice and clean, wash it from time to time with mild soap and warm water.
  • After you use it, make sure to dry the bath seat.
