• Determine, with a physician or therapist, the suitability of this commode for the intended user
• Do not leave the user unattended unless it has been determined that their ability and requirements are such that it poses no safety risk to leave them unsupervised
• Place your commode only on a level surface, not near steps, water or other hazards
• Check that all locking knobs, bolts, buckles and other parts are tight at all times
• For any user who may experience sudden body movement (e.g., spastic motions), attach your commode securely to the floor or wall with straps and screws to prevent tipping
• Make certain your commode is assembled with the anti-tilt feet on the front legs facing forward
• Keep commode clean and sanitary
• Do not use this equipment for purposes other than as a positioning commode
