Benefits of SpeediCath Advance Hydrophylic Coating:

This unique coating consists of three layers:

• Base coating: This coating makes sure that the coating remains evenly distributed and uniform during the process of insertion and removal. This prevents the top coating from rubbing off the catheter tube.
• Top coating: This coating is designed to make the catheter smooth and minimize friction due to its optimal level of water absorption.
• Saline solution: SpeediCath catheters are always contained in a saline solution that ensures the coating is always hydrated and making them ready to use without the need to soak them in water.

Why are SpeediCath Catheters Safe?

SpeediCath Intermittent catheter has polished eyelets that create a smooth surface between the catheter and eyelet surface.  They are designed to minimize friction and risk of urethral damage. To accomplish that a specially developed process is used that ensures the edge of every eyelet is polished to create a soft and perfect transition between them and the catheter surface, to address comfort when inserting and withdrawing the catheter. SpeediCath is also PVC- and phthalate-free, limiting the environmental impact.
