Abbott BinaxNOW Malaria Test Kit is a rapid and simple diagnostic test that can accurately differentiate a deadly P. falciparum infection from a pan-malarial infection caused by P. vivax, P. ovale, or P. malaria. The detectable analytes are Antigens to all 4 species of malaria, Plasmodium vivax, Plasmodium ovale, and Plasmodium malaria in whole blood with a sensitivity of 99.7% (P.f.); 93.5% (P.v.) and specificity of 94.2% (P.f.); 99.8% (P.v.).
