Rolyan D-Ring Wrist and Thumb Spica Splint allows healing after injury and helps to decreases pain and inflammation of painful wrists and thumb tendonitis. Its circumferential design with D-ring closures, make the brace easy to put on and comfortable to wear. Two metal stays support wrist and thumb, and adjust the amount of wrist extension.

Precautions to take While Using D-Ring Wrist and Thumb Spica Splint

  • If unusual swelling, skin discoloration or discomfort occurs, discontinue use.
  • If pain or discomfort persists, consult a healthcare professional.
  • Be careful that the straps are not so tight that they interfere with circulation.

How to Clean Rolyan D-Ring Spica Splint?

  • Remove stay and fasten straps. Hand wash fabric in warm water and mild soap.
  • Can also be machine washed.
  • Do not wring. Dry at room temperature.
  • Be sure the splint/brace is completely dry before reapplying it.
  • Surface clean the outside of the leather splint/brace using saddle soap.
  • Do not immerse in water.

Application:
  • Be sure the hem portion of the pocket is over the end of the stay.
  • Do not insert the hand between the layers of stockinette. Apply the wrist brace as shown in, apply the wrist and thumb spica splint as shown in.
  • The stay can be adjusted for proper fit.

Contraindications:
  • Not for treatment of severe sprains
  • Not for immediate treatment following fractures
  • Not for use directly over open wounds and infected areas
  • Not for use when IP immobilization is required
