Assembly Instructions:

  • Tools Required:
    - 2-7/16" wrenches or sockets
    - 2-1/2" wrenches or sockets
  • We recommend that two people work together to assemble this product
  • For models with foot pedals, the locking casters need to be on the front frame
  • Install casters onto the legs. The 2 locking casters on one leg and the 2 non-locking casters on the other leg. The bolts should be inserted from the outside of the leg, designated by the warning label that is applied to each leg. There should be 2-1/4" x 1-1/4" bolts and 2-1/4" nylon lock nuts per caster
  • Using the 5/16" x 1-1/2" bolts attach the Bottom Shelf to the leg with the non-locking casters first, making sure that the Foot Pedal holes on the bottom shelf are closest to this leg. Do not tighten these bolts completely for now. Install the other leg to the bottom shelf. Do not tighten these bolts completely for now
  • Place the foot pedal under the units as shown. Using the 1/4" x 1-1/4" bolts and the 1/4" lock nuts install the pedal to the bottom shelf. If assembling the double or triple units, join 2 pedal legs together with the same nut and bolt. Tighten the nuts just enough so that the end of the bolt is just past the nut. This will allow the pedal to move freely
  • Using the 5/16" x 1-1/2" bolts install the Lid Frame Assembly. The Lid Frame Assembly has been pre-assembled at the factory for your convenience. If assembling the double or triple units, install all of the Lid Frame Assemblies before tightening the bolts. When the Lid Frame Assembly or Assemblies are in place make sure to tighten all of the bolts that connect the Lid Frame Assemblies and the Bottom Shelf to the Legs
  • Take one set of Lid Wires and attach one end to the Foot Pedal, in the center hole, with the bent end facing in. Attach the top of the Lid Wire set to the Lid. Repeat these steps if you have the double or triple hamper. The extra lid wire pedal holes are used if some adjustment is needed for the lid if it does not open or close properly. Your hamper is now ready for use
  • When operating the foot pedal, the lid will stay open only when the foot pedal is depressed. If you find it necessary to keep the lid open (while you are changing a bag, for example) simply lift the lid by hand to a complete upright position. It can be lowered by hand or by using the foot pedal. It is recommended that the brakes be engaged while you operate the foot pedal. Simply press down on the lever on the side of the caster to the on position
  • Bag Installation:
-Place the bag inside the frame with the opening facing forward. Loop the top Velcro straps around the side cross bars and fasten securely. Repeat for the bottom Velcro straps along the front and back of the frame

Warning:

  • When moving hamper, unlock casters and always proceed slowly
  • Be sure bags and liners are secure in frame
  • When using the foot pedal, the lid must not be obstructed and the brakes must be engaged
  • Be sure casters roll easily and are free of debris
  • Maximum capacity: 90lbs
  • Do not overload
