• Application:
  - To maintain balance when sitting down or getting up, position both hands on the armrests
  - After being seated, push back on the seat until knees are against the frame
  - To lower drop arms: Depress the push button on the seat, and release it once the arm is down and totally out of the way
  - To raise arms, pull them up until the button locks
  - Confirm that the armrests are locked securely before using them
  - To use over a standard toilet: Simply depress the spring buttons on the back and take it off of the commode
  - Remove the bucket and insert the splash guard in the bowl of the toilet
  - Then position the commode over the toilet, and lower the seat
  - Again check that the commode is stable
• Precautions:
  - Supervision or assistance should be provided for users who are weak or tend to be unbalanced
  - Before each use, ensure that spring buttons protrude all the way through the appropriate holes so they are locked in place
  - Test for stability, confirming that legs are set at the same height so the commode is level
  - Do not exceed the user weight capacity of 352lbs
• Care:
  - Clean the commode with basic cleaning products or mild soap. Do not use abrasive or organic solvent products such as scouring pads, acetone, lacquer thinner, turpentine or lighter fluid as they may damage the commode
  - Periodically inspect the rubber tips on the legs
  - If tips are torn or missing, replace them immediately
