More On Ulnar Nerve Splint

Directions For Use:

• Slide ring and small fingers under the dynamic metacarpophalangeal block. Determine if the wire dynamic metacarpophalangeal block is positioned at the proximal phalanges to prevent metacarpophalangeal hyperextension. Adjust the distal wire and bend to the desired position.
• To secure the splint, fasten the strap to the hook material on the dorsum of the splint. Trim excess strapping.
   

Precautions:

• This splint is to be fitted initially by a healthcare professional who is familiar with the purpose for which they are used. The healthcare professional is responsible for providing wearing instructions and precautions to other healthcare professionals, care providers involved in the patient€™s care, and the patient.
• If unusual swelling, skin discoloration or discomfort occurs, use should be discontinued and a healthcare professional consulted.
   

Care Instructions:

• Splint and straps may be cleansed with a mild, non-abrasive detergent and water.
• Air dry prior to wearing.
